ClubMed Vacation

I was vacationing at ClubMed Cherating last weekend, a 3D2N trip sponsored by the company. We went by bus and along the way I feel good to be able to see the green sceneries as compared to the city chaos.

The kampung lifestyle along the way brought back old memory of my childhood neighbours that lived in a wooden house surrounded by coconut trees. Who need fence to safeguard oneself from intruder and crime?

The rooms at ClubMed are not very well maintained. I am glad that the block that I stayed at was much better than my coworkers rooms. It was like the old school dormitories.


Monkeys are roaming on the rooftop, walkways, and mostly around the trash cans hunting for "food". At one point when we opened the door to leave the room, some monkeys were waiting outside of our room and my roommate quickly shut the door fearing their attack.

I tried to shoo a monkey by making a scary face to him and in return he showed me a "f**k off" face! I stepped back and got a bit scared. Luckily he didn't take it too personal to start climbing on me and attack me.

It was raining for the two consequentive nights when we were there. While sitting at the lobby, I positioned my camera to the darkness and hoped to shoot a picture of lighting strike.

After several attempts, all I have is . . . darkness!



Suddenly, Bang!



Wow! It is like daylight!

Anyway, vacation got to come to an end. It was a nice trip that we all don't have to get up early for team buidling and meeting.

BlogSpammed

Lately I have got spammed by some "anonymous blogspammers" that left stupid ads in the comment page. And they are putting up comment like "I think your blog is interesting, please check out mine(with hyperlink)". Yeah right - adult XXX website is your blog?

From now on, I have activated the "word verification" for comment posting.

Specialist of the specialist

Around Pudu area, there is this Medical Center where many specialists are housed. A big and tall signboard is put up at the side of the buidling block listing all the specialist services in this Medical Center.



Hmmm... How does Klinik Pakar Bedah Otak/Saraf sound to you? "Err... excuse me Doctor Chee, can you just open up my otak and see what is wrong with my head?"

If you can read chinese, there is this one 郭 妇 科 及 产 科 专 科 诊 所. I think Dr. Kok can actually just say 郭 妇 产 科 诊 所 .

Tourists

I happened to pass by a shoplot around the Petaling Street area and spotted this family of foreign tourists taking a break in front of a shop selling cyrstal.

Look at how they occupied the entrance to the shop. As I was taking the picture, the father and the son just stand up. The sight of them sitting in a row makes me think of the birds resting on the powerline. ;-D

Maybe they want to get some "Chi" from the crystal inside. Or maybe it is too expensive to sit in a coffeshop?

McDonalds

I attended a birthday party at McDonald's sometime back. As usual, the McDonald's Birthday party package will send a mascot to "cheer" the kids.

Introducing the purple thing:


Actually, his name is Grimace (I just found out before blogging this). I mean why can't he has a more kids friendly name like Purple Jack? Grimace sounds like Grim A**.

A check on the MacDonals website introduces Grimace:

Stop worrying. I mean you no harm. In fact, I am such a happy, positive person. I'm always ready to do fun things. Some people even tell me that I bring out the child in them. But I'm a bit slow and clumsy.

Yeah right! Big purple scary looking thing that walks like a zombie. And no, I don't think he looks happy and positive and do fun things. He brought out the cries in children!
